Introduction

Trifluoromethoxybenzene is an organic compound. The following is an introduction to the properties, uses, preparation methods and safety information of trifluoromethoxybenzene:

Quality:

Appearance: Trifluoromethoxybenzene is a colorless liquid.

Density: 1.388 g/cm³

Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents such as ether and chloroform.

Use:

As a solvent: Trifluoromethoxybenzene is widely used as a solvent in the field of organic synthesis, especially in metal-catalyzed reactions and aryl solvent-catalyzed reactions in organic synthesis.

Method:

The preparation method of trifluoromethoxybenzene usually includes the following steps:

Bromomethylbenzene is reacted with trifluoroformic anhydride to produce methyl trifluoroformic acid.

Methyl trifluorostearate is reacted with phenyl alcohol to form methyl trifluorostearate phenyl alcohol ether.

Methyl trifluoromethyrate stearate is reacted with hydrofluoric acid to form trifluoromethoxybenzene.

Safety Information:

Trifluoromethoxybenzene is irritating and flammable, and should be avoided from contact with skin and eyes, away from open flames and high temperatures.

Drink enough fresh air when using; Use personal protective equipment such as chemical gloves, goggles, and gowns.

When storing and handling, chemical safety handling procedures should be followed and properly kept.
