Introduction
1-Methylaminoanthraquinone is an organic compound. It is a white crystalline powder with a peculiar odor.
1-Methylaminoanthraquinone has many important applications. It can be used as a dye intermediate for the synthesis of organic pigments, plastic pigments and printing and dyeing agents. It can also be used as a reducing agent, oxidant, and catalyst in organic synthesis.
There are several ways to prepare 1-methylaminoanthraquinone. A common method is to react 1-methylaminoanthracene with quinone, under alkaline conditions. After the reaction is completed, the target product is obtained by crystallization purification.
