Polyethylene glycol phenyl ether(CAS# 9004-78-8)
Introduction
Phenol ethoxylates are nonionic surfactants. Its properties mainly include:
Appearance: Generally colorless or light yellow liquid.
Solubility: soluble in water and organic solvents, miscible with many substances.
Surface activity performance: It has good surface activity, which can reduce the surface tension of the liquid and increase the wettability of the liquid.
Key uses of phenol ethoxylates include:
Industrial use: It can be used as a dispersant for dyes and pigments, a wetting agent for textiles, a coolant for metalworking, etc.
There are two main preparation methods for phenol ethoxylate:
Condensation reaction of phenol and ethylene oxide: phenol and ethylene oxide are reacted in the presence of a catalyst to form phenol ethoxyethylene ether.
Ethylene oxide is directly condensed with phenol: ethylene oxide is directly reacted with phenol and phenol ethoxylates are prepared by condensation reaction.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and rinse with plenty of water if contact is incidental.
Avoid inhaling vapors from its gases or solutions and operate in a well-ventilated area.
Pay attention to prevent it from coming into contact with strong oxidants, acids and other substances to avoid dangerous reactions.
Follow safe practices for use and storage, such as wearing protective gloves and goggles. If swallowed or ingested, seek immediate medical attention.
