Physicochemical properties
Appearance: Usually dark blue powder, with a vivid blue hue, high color saturation, and a certain gloss.
Solubility: Insoluble in water, ethanol and organic solvents. Decomposition occurs in the acid, releasing hydrocyanic acid. However, it has good stability under alkaline conditions.
Density: Density is generally between 1.8 and 1.9 g/cm³.
Stability: At room temperature and pressure, Pigment Blue 7 has good stability and is not prone to decomposition or discoloration. It has good light fastness and weather resistance, and can maintain color stability in light and atmospheric environments, but there may be slight fading when exposed to strong sunlight for a long time.
use
Coatings: Widely used in various coatings, such as architectural coatings, industrial coatings, automotive coatings, etc., to provide blue tones, which can make the coating have good decoration and weather resistance, protect the surface of the object, and give it a beautiful blue appearance.
Ink industry: It is an important blue pigment in the production of ink, which can be used for printing inks, packaging inks, etc., which can make the printed matter present a bright and clear blue, with good printability and drying performance, to ensure that the ink is transferred evenly during the printing process, and the color is firm after drying.
Plastic coloring: It can be used for the coloring of polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polypropylene and other plastics, so that plastic products show a stable blue color, and are widely used in the production of plastic pipes, plastic films, plastic toys, plastic stationery and other plastic products.
Other applications: It is also used in the manufacture of painting paints, crayons, watercolors and other art supplies to provide artists with bright blue pigments. In the paper industry, it can be used for dyeing paper, producing blue paper or adding to pulp to adjust the tone of the paper. In addition, it also has certain applications in some special fields, such as electronic materials, ceramic pigments, etc.
