Introduction
CBZ-L-lysine, chemically known as N-n-butylcarboyl-L-lysine, is an amino acid protecting group.
Quality:
CBZ-L-lysine is a solid, colorless or white crystalline powder with high thermal stability. It is easily soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform and dichloromethane.
CBZ-L-lysine is mainly used in organic synthesis by protecting the amino functional groups of lysine. Protecting the amino functional group of lysine prevents its side reactions during synthesis.
CBZ-L-lysine is generally obtained by acylation of L-lysine. Commonly used acylation reagents include chloroformyl chloride (COC1) and phenylmethyl-N-hydrazinocarbamate (CbzCl), which can be carried out in organic solvents at suitable temperature and pH conditions.
When disposing of waste and solutions for this compound, appropriate disposal methods should be adopted and relevant safety regulations should be followed.
