Menthyl acetate can be prepared by:
Peppermint Oil Reaction with Acetic Acid: Peppermint oil is reacted with acetic acid under the action of an appropriate catalyst to produce menthol acetate.
Esterification reaction: menthol and acetic acid are esterified under an acid catalyst to generate menthol acetate.
