Physical and Chemical Properties Chemical properties colorless or slightly yellow oily transparent liquid. It has a cinnamaldehyde-like aroma with oil peanut flavor. Boiling point 235~237 ℃[1.0 × 105Pa(750mmHg)]. Soluble in ethanol, chloroform, benzene and petroleum ether, insoluble in water. Natural products are found in perilla oil (50%).
Use Uses GB 2760-1996 provides temporary permission for the use of flavorants. Mainly used for the preparation of spices and peanut flavor.
