Hendecanoic acid(CAS#112-37-8)
Application:
1.Undecanoic acid is a common gas chromatography internal standard compound, the capillary gas chromatography internal standard method was used to determine the preservatives dehydroacetic acid, benzoic acid and sorbic acid in food, the sample recovery rate was between 96% and 104%, the standard linear relationship was good, the coefficient of variation of the sample determination was small, dehydroacetic acid was 0.71%, benzoic acid was 0.82% and sorbic acid was 0.62%. It is simple, fast and accurate. In addition to this, it can also be used to determine the content of various preservatives in food [5-7].
2.It is used in the production of feed additives containing organic acids and medium-chain fatty acids, which are used to screen out medium-chain fatty acids (caprylic acid or nonanoic acid) and organic acids (citric acid) with more antibacterial activity by treating different strains with different MCFAs and OAs, and then match the two in an appropriate ratio to make them exert a stronger synergistic effect, so as to ensure that the antibacterial effect can be stronger on the basis of reducing the dose of medium-chain fatty acids and organic acids [8].
3.Undecanoic acid is used in organic synthesis and as a plastic regulator.
