Introduction
11-(FMOC-amino)undecanoic acid, also known as FMOC-11-AMINOUNDECANOIC ACID. The following is an introduction to its nature, use, manufacturing methods and safety information:
Quality:
- Appearance: 11-(FMOC-amino)undecanoic acid is a white crystalline solid.
- Solubility: It can be soluble in some organic solvents such as chloroform, dimethyl sulfoxide, and methylene chloride, but less solubility in water.
Use:
- Biochemical research: 11-(FMOC-amino)undecanoic acid is commonly used as a protective and activator in peptide synthesis and research.
- Chemical analysis: It can be used as a standard or internal standard in amino acid analysis.
Method:
The preparation of 11-(FMOC-amino)undecanoic acid can be carried out by the following steps:
- Mix 11-aminoundecanoic acid with dioxins and tetrahydrofurans and gradually add trichlorotrimethylphosphoketone (TMSCl) while cooling and stirring.
- Then warm the mixture to room temperature before adding trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TfOH).
- N-(9-fluoroformyl)morphine amide ester solution was added, and after reaction and purification, a pure product was obtained.
Safety Information:
Safety information regarding 11-(FMOC-amino)undecanoic acid is currently rarely reported, but precautions for routine laboratory handling and use of chemicals should be followed. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when using, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and ensure use in a well-ventilated area. If necessary, please refer to the relevant Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for more detailed safety information.
