Introduction
Difluoromethylphenylene sulfide is an organic compound.
Difluoromethylphenylene sulfide is mainly used as an intermediate in organic synthesis reactions in industry. It can also be used as an additive to solvents, cleaning agents and petroleum products.
Methods for the preparation of difluoromethylphenylene sulfide include transesterification and bromination. One of the commonly used preparation methods is to react difluoromethylbenzoate with sodium sulfate or sodium sulfate dodeca hydrate under alkali catalysis.
Safety information: Difluoromethylphenylene sulfide is highly volatile, flammable, irritating to eyes and skin, and direct contact should be avoided. Care should be taken to avoid sparks, open flames and electrostatic sparks when using, and should be placed in a well-ventilated place and away from heat and fire sources when storing. The container should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry place, away from oxidants and acids.
