In vitro study	Cloprostenol is a PGF2α receptor agonist. Cloprostenol (0.1 μM) counteracts the adipogenic effects of statil, on both intracellular lipid accumulation and expression of transcripts for proadipogenic factors C/EBPα and PPARγ after treatment for 6 days.
In vivo study	Cloprostenol sodium salt (25 μg) decreases plasma progesterone in pregnant rats.

Fields of application
Cloprostenol sodium is a potent FP receptor agonist with luteal solubility and is an agonist of the PGF2α receptor. It has an important application in the field of animal husbandry, mainly used to control the estrous cycle of female animals, promote the estrus of female animals at the same time, and improve reproductive efficiency.
