Cetrorelix is an organic synthetic compound with the chemical name of 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-4,4-dimethyl-3-(1,2,4-triazine-3-yl)pentyl-3-ol. It is a white to light yellow crystalline powder.Cetrorelix is mainly used in agriculture as an insecticide and herbicide. It has a good killing effect on a variety of insects, mites and weeds, and can be applied to the protection of fruit trees, vegetables, cotton and other crops. It can also be used to prevent viruses spread by aphids.The preparation method of cetrorelix is generally obtained by chemical synthesis. Its synthesis methods include the alcohol amine method and the Grignard reagent method. The alcohol amine method mainly reacts alcohol amine with parachlorobenzoate with triazine substrate to generate precursors, and then further hydrolyzes the acid to synthesize cetrorelix.
