Introduction
BOC-D-serine is a chemical compound with the chemical name N-tert-butoxycarbonyl-D-serine. It is a protective compound obtained by the reaction of D-serine with BOC-anhydride.
BOC-D-serine has some of the following properties:
Appearance: Usually colorless or white crystalline powder.
Solubility: soluble in organic solvents (such as dimethylformamide, formamide, etc.), relatively insoluble in water.
Synthetic peptides: BOC-D-serine is often used as an amino acid residue in a synthetic peptide sequence.
The method of preparing BOC-D-serine is generally by reacting D-serine with BOC-anhydride under alkaline conditions. The reaction temperature and time can be adjusted according to the specific experimental conditions. Crystallization purification is also required later in the preparation process to obtain a product with higher purity.
Avoid inhalation, swallowing, or contact with skin and eyes, and wear protective gloves and goggles.
Care should be taken to avoid contact with substances such as oxidants, strong acids and strong bases during operation and storage to avoid dangerous reactions.
It should be operated in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhaling dust.
In case of accidental contact or ingestion, seek medical attention immediately and bring the container or label with you.
