Introduction
2-fluoro-6-nitrotoluene, also known as 2-fluoro-6-nitrotoluene.
2-Fluoro-6-nitrotoluene is a white to pale yellow crystalline solid with a pungent odor. Slightly soluble in water at room temperature, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols and ethers.
2-Fluoro-6-nitrotoluene has certain uses. It can also be used as a precursor and fuel additive for optoelectronic materials.
The preparation method of 2-fluoro-6-nitrotoluene can be obtained by the reaction of aniline with nitric acid. Aniline and nitric acid react under the right conditions to form nitroamine. Nitroamine is then fluorinated by the addition of hydrogen fluoride to give 2-fluoro-6-nitrotoluene.
It is a flammable substance and should be kept away from open flames and high temperatures. Fire prevention measures should be taken during handling and storage. It is also necessary to avoid inhalation, skin contact, and ingestion. If inhaled or touched, wash and send to a doctor immediately. Appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves, protective glasses, and masks should be worn during use.
