Introduction

Slightly spicy. It is easy to absorb moisture and is stable under normal conditions, but it is easy to produce propionaldehyde, lactic acid, pyruvate and acetic acid at high temperatures. It is miscible with water, acetone and chloroform, and soluble in ether. The median lethal dose (rat, oral) is 25ml/kg.
